Photo&Film Alumna Brings Misunderstood Minority to Light on PBS

Eleanor Moseman, a 2002 BFA alumna, set out on a bicycle journey across the northern part of Asia in 2010. Something specific, and unique, about her approach to photojournalism is her method of traveling. Using her bike to traverse the country, and biking over 15,000 miles, she has earned the title a the ‘wander cyclist’. Her goal was to document the lives and cultures of different minority groups in China, specifically the Uyghurs, staying with families for extended periods of time.
